Afrisource Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering the next generation of innovators, entrepreneurs, and community leaders across Africa and the African Diaspora.
Founded by Aquila Ledbetter, a returned Peace Corps Volunteer and social innovator with more than two decades of experience in youth development, workforce training, and entrepreneurship, Afrisource Foundation was created to expand economic opportunities for underserved communities while building meaningful connections between Africa and the United States.
The Foundation builds upon years of impact in Namibia, where Afrisource established innovation and market access programs that equipped small businesses and suppliers with access to global markets.
Today, Afrisource Foundation continues that mission by creating opportunities for youth, entrepreneurs, and businesses to connect, learn, and grow together. We believe that talent is universal, but opportunity is not. By investing in the next generation of changemakers, we are helping ensure that innovative ideas can thrive regardless of geography or circumstance.
